The success of an organization both large and small are not only determined by natural resources that are available, but many are determined by the quality of human resources (HR) that serves to plan, implement and control the organization. Difference of HR between the 60′s decade with quality of human resources in the 80’s decade in Japan is one thing that can explain the prosperity and progress in Japan, whether at 90’s or recently.
Continuity of development in our country recently, however can only be maintained if the quality of human resources is getting serious attention both from government and private society. Therefore, human resources in our country need to be develop considering the amount of Indonesia’s huge population, which is a potential productive resource that can be converted into real productive resources.

Similarly, bigger concern in Indonesia, on the management by the private institutions is expected to bring positive impact on economic development and companies in the future.
A branch of management that particularly concerned with the human resource is Human Resource Management (HRM). Therefore, the understanding of the things that relate to HRM by all members of society, especially by the company are absolute and necessary, in order to create a better life for Indonesian people.
